El Día Que Me Quieras (The Day You'll Love Me)

Written By José Ignacio Cabrujas, Directed and Adapted by Carolina Soza | November, 2005

A Latin-American version of the "screwball comedies" of the 1930s, flavored with social and political commentary reminiscent of Chekhov. Set in Caracas, Venezuela in 1935, this satire revolved around a surprise visit by the great tango singer Carlos Gardel to a "traditional" Venezuelan family, the Ancizars.
