Las Cafeteras fuse traditional and modern beats with timely stories from the streets of East Los Angeles. Known for energetic bilingual performances, the musicians of Las Cafeteras share a community-focused message over a collage of musical styles that includes Afro-Mexican (son jarocho), hip hop, folk, Native American sounds, and more. The evening performance by Las Cafeteras was preceded a special performance from the Latino Arts Strings Program.
