The Big Idea XI: The Future is Now

The Big Idea XI: The Future is now

On View June 21-August 23

The Big Idea exhibit highlights the artwork of students and other developing artists from local schools and organizations, bringing our gallery to life for this powerful and creative exhibit that takes over the Latino Arts Gallery each Summer.

The process begins with the teacher selecting either a single word or phrase, which serves as the big "idea" of the exhibit to create inspiration for their students' artwork. These young artists are encouraged to reflect on their own personal connection to the idea, and bring it to life through their own artistic interpretation. The result is a magnificent display of creativity and individuality that fills the gallery space full of color and vibrant energy.

Latino Arts is thrilled to commemorate eleven years of The Big Idea exhibit, featuring inspired artwork based on big ideas that are relevant and meaningful to the students all across Southeastern Wisconsin. Celebrating a decade of creativity by school age and developing artists, we are proud to showcase these treasures of artistic talent from our young talent!
