Guitar Festival

Saturday, February 10th, 2018

The Latino Arts Strings Program is inviting classical guitarists of under the age of 18 to participate in the fourth annual Guitar Festival. A panel of local and international classical guitarists will select one winner from each level: Intermediate and Advanced. Competition winners will perform with our guest artists during that evening's concert.


  

 

Guitar students interested in registering for the competition and/or master class:

Participation in the competition is $30 per guitarist, which includes the competition, master class, and a concert ticket. General admission to the concert plus enrollment in the master class is $10 per person. Registration is open online through February 1st

A special Flamenco guitar workshop!

Learn Flamenco strumming technique and rhythms with Marija Temo, virtuoso guitarist. Described as a “triple threat”, Marija combines flamenco and classical ability as a musician, vocalist, conductor, and former dancer. *Flamenco workshop participants are not required to participate in the competition.
