Gardens, Gods, & Grids:

Retracing Nature, Culture, & Infrastructure in the Americas

by Dara Larson

Gardens, Gods, & Grids by Dara Larson | Latino Arts Gallery

December 4 - February 26

Opening Reception:
Friday, December 4 | 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Dara Larson is a Professor of Art at Alverno College and a mentor at RedLine Milwaukee who retraces photo documents and past artwork from multiple years of travel in the Americas to create a series of time collages, merging photographed reality with imaginary and psychological worldviews.

The works overlap and paste together the most powerful symbols and themes from her journeys through North, Central, and South America.

Inspired by land use and city story, Larson explores historic and contemporary themes that incorporate natural and built environments with art, healing, and spirituality.

Exhibitions in the Latino Arts Gallery are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for a donation of $1.
