April 30 - July 23: Juan Chawuk looks to draw parallels between two distinct cultures through surreal visions laced with folk imagery.
December 3 - February 2011: Taller Experimental de Gráfica, Havana’s graphic workshop, was founded in 1962 by a small group of artists but now boasts over 100 members. The gallery features over seventy-five pieces from more than thirty artists.
October 22 – November 19: Celebrate the tradition of honoring family and friends who have passed with this eclectic selection of local and regional artists providing their perspective on the custom.
February 26 – April 16: Colombian painter Andrea Rojas uses her art to reflect on violence, corruption and powerlessness throughout the world and looks to inspire healing through connection with nature.
September 10 – October 8: Mexican architect Luis Barragán (1902-1988) left a definitive stamp on modern design, advocating for “emotional architecture” to take precedent over design that purely serves function. This collection examines Barragán’s colorful yet minimalist style through photographs, blueprints, and video.
