Contemporary Cuban Printmaking
December 3 – February 11, 2011
Opening Reception: Friday, December 3 | 5:00–7:30 p.m.
Taller Experimental de Gráfica, Havana’s graphic workshop, was founded in 1962 by a small group of artists but now boasts over 100 members. Participants of the collective primarily practice lithography, but the variety in theme and imagery speaks to the creative environment the workshop fosters. The gallery features over seventy-five pieces from more than thirty artists.
Special Thanks to the Department of Art at Northwest Missouri State University.
Exhibitions in the Latino Arts Gallery are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for a suggested donation of $1.
Enhance your experience of the exhibition by participating in one of our Discovering Traditional Cuban Printmaking Techniques educational workshops. For more information and to view workshop availability, visit the For Teachers page.
